코로나사태의 대응중 호텔업계중에서 가장 소극적인 메리어트에서 오늘 발표했습니다.

OFF Peak redemption이라는 것과 50% extra Elite Night Credit 두가지 입니다.

 All Members — Our Lowest Redemption Rates
To help you with your exploration, we’ll be putting over 5,500 properties around the world on Off-Peak redemption rates for bookings made during June 15–30 for stay dates through July 31. This means that whether you’re staying close to home or venturing farther, you can get our lowest redemption rates of the year.

예전 SPG의 주요 프로모션이었던 오프 시즌 할인요금제를,

6월 15일부터 30일까지의 예약에 한에 7월31일까지의 숙박에 적용됩니다.

아래의 표에서 보는것처럼  평균 약 20~25%의 할인된 포인트 숙박요금으로 예약가능합니다.

현재 여러가지의 숙박 프로모션/스테이케이션 오퍼들이 있는데,

비교해보고 좋은 딜을 고르시면 될것같습니다.

보통 룸카테고리의  수준보다 룸레잇이 월등히 높은 프로퍼티에,

포인트를 사용하는것이 실용적입니다.

Elite Members — 50% Extra Elite Night Credits
Given the disruption in your travel plans this year, we will be giving you a head start toward earning status next year by depositing 50% of the Elite Night Credits (“ENCs”) into your account based on your 2019 earned Elite status tier. Your 2019 earned status has already been renewed through February 2022, so these additional ENCs will jump-start your ability to move quickly to the next Elite tier. You will see these additional ENCs deposited in your account in late July.

다음 소식은 50% 보너스 엘리트 나잇 크레딧 증정 소식입니다.

엘리트멤버들에게 작년 2019년 획득한 숙박의 1/2 을 올해 보너스 크레딧으로 증정하겠다는 오퍼입니다.

예를들어, 앰버서더 회원에게는 작년 숙박 100박에서 50%인  50박을 이번연도에 보너스 크레딧으로 주고,

(티타늄은 38 night/ 플래티넘은 25 night/ 골드는 13/ 실버는 5 night credit)

기존숙박에 이 보너스 숙박까지 합하여 올해의 엘리트 티어에 반영한다는것입니다.

 

뭔가 거창해보이는 프로모션인것 같으나,

현재 모든회원들의 티어조정이 2022년 2월로 연장되어있으니 올해는 굳이 티어숙박을 안해도 되는데 ???

다만 라이프타임 티어를 위한 등급유지 연수나 annual gift를 올해 또 받기위한거나,

현재보다 윗단계 상위의 티어로 다시 올라가기위한 티어런에는 좋을것같습니다.

Marriott Bonvoy Extra Elite Night Credit + Ambassador Platinum Gift For 2020

Marriott Bonvoy has today launched a program that allows members more quickly to reach a higher status in light of the challenging travel environment. Marriott Bonvoy has already extended statuses through 2021.

Note that these elite night credits count towards achieving the lifetime status. They are posted to member account in late July.

앰버서더 멤버는 가족이나 친구에게 플래티넘 스테이터스를 Gift로 줄수 있습니다.

이걸 노리고 보너스 크레딧 합쳐서  앰버서더나 달려볼까? 하는 생각을 잠시했었습니다.ㅎ

Ambassador Platinum-gift

Ambassador members can gift a Platinum status to their designated friend. This offer activates once an Ambassador member has reached 100 nights this year including the 50 nights bonus.

Status Extension: You’ll be able to enjoy the status that you earned in 2019 through February 2022.

Points Expiration: The expiration of points will be paused until February 2021, which provides you additional time to redeem your points.

Suite Night Awards™ (SNAs): The expiration of your suite nights has been extended by one year, so you can use them through December 31, 2021.

Free Night Award (FNA): Eligible Free Night Awards have now been extended to January 31, 2021.

 

이름만 거창하게 선심쓰듯 내놓은 메리어트의 프로모션이긴 하지만,

나름 조합하면 좋은 실적을 가질수도 있어보입니다.

올해 2020년 ROLL-OVER TO 2021 플랜이나 발표해줬으면하는 바램입니다.
